Alliant Hemp Overview
Alliant Hemp is a no-frills, low-cost CBD vendor based in Oregon. The company offers some of the lowest prices in the CBD industry and free shipping, all while maintaining good quality.
One of the ways Alliant achieves its low prices is that it doesn’t have an affiliate program or spend much money on marketing. That’s why it’s not as well known as more heavily advertised brands. In Alliant’s own words, “…we rely almost entirely on word of mouth to grow.”
Having said that, Alliant is particularly popular on the social news aggregation website Reddit, where savvy CBD users try to find the best combination of price and effectiveness.
Alliant Hemp vs. Lazarus Naturals
Alliant Hemp is often compared to Lazarus Naturals, another Oregon-based CBD vendor with affordable prices. In our experience of reviewing and testing both brands, both have pros and cons.
Alliant Hemp is undoubtedly the cheaper option, with the 6000 mg full-spectrum CBD oil being almost four times cheaper than Lazarus Naturals’ alternative. So if you’re looking for the cheapest CBD products that are still effective, Alliant is the better choice.
However, Lazarus wins in product quality, variety, and effectiveness. Its products have higher minor cannabinoid levels, use higher-quality ingredients (most are certified organic, including the USDA-organic hemp source), and had stronger effects when we tested them. Lazarus also offers a much wider variety of products and formulas.
CBD Glossary
- Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
- Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial effects (1).
- Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They work in synergy with CBD.
- Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
- Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
- CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.
Alliant Hemp CBD Product Lineup
Alliant Hemp sells CBD and CBG oil, CBD capsules, gummies, and a salve. Most products are full-spectrum, with a couple of isolate formulas (either pure CBD or a mix of CBD and THC). For this review, we purchased Alliant’s entire product product lineup (7 products) for Antonio to test out.

Alliant Hemp’s CBD oil comes in full-spectrum and isolate varieties. It’s the cheapest CBD oil I’ve come across and uses two simple, true-and-true ingredients: CBD extract and coconut MCT oil. Third-party tests for 1500 mg tincture show over 10% minor cannabinoids, which is a great result. But the 6000 mg version only shows about ~4%, so I’d choose the regular strength one if possible.
Antonio’s experience: I enjoyed the natural, hempy flavor of the 1500 mg oil. I didn’t experience significant effects, but this is likely due to my high tolerance to both THC and CBD; I still think the quality and natural composition of this product make it a good option.
Meanwhile, the 6000 mg full-spectrum oil had noticeable benefits lasting about three hours, including a profound sense of calm and pain relief in my knees following strenuous hikes. Similarly, the CBD isolate oil also resulted in significant relaxation lasting about three hours. One point of improvement I’d suggest is for Alliant to get USDA organic certification.
CBG Oil

CBG Potency | 200 mg/ml |
Volume | 30 ml |
Total CBG | 6000 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.008 |
Type | Isolate |

This oil provides a high concentration of pure cannabigerol (CBG), a minor cannabinoid touted for its stimulating, mood-boosting effects.
Antonio’s experience: During a four-day trial, consuming a full 200mg dropper daily, I experienced significant effects, notably an increased appetite. Roughly an hour after ingestion, I found myself ravenously hungry, leading to a kitchen raid. This effect underscores the potential of CBG to influence appetite, among other benefits.
CBD Gummies

Type | Isolate |

Alliant Hemp’s cherry-flavored gummies combine 75 mg of pure CBD and 1 mg of THC, making them quite potent. They’re made with natural, organic, vegan-friendly ingredients.
Antonio’s experience: The cherry flavor of the gummies is decent, though it didn’t stand out as exceptional. A major plus for me is the blend of CBD and THC, which appears to be more effective for relaxation than products containing CBD alone. The ingredient list is concise, which I appreciate for its simplicity, but like Alliant’s other products, the lack of fully organic ingredients is a downside.
The effects kicked in about an hour after ingestion, and I experienced a significant sense of relaxation. On the days I consumed two gummies at once, the feeling of calm was intensified.
CBD Softgels

Potency | 100 mg |
Capsule Count | 60 |
Total CBD | 6000 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.008 |
Type | Full-spectrum |

Alliant’s softgels are essentially a capsule version of its full-spectrum CBD oil. They’re made with gelatin, so they’re not vegan-friendly. Unfortunately, the minor cannabinoid levels are quite low at only 2%.
Antonio’s experience: Like most Alliant products, I like the minimalist ingredient list. But the lack of organic certification other than the coconut MCT oil, is a downside for me, as I prefer organically sourced products. Additionally, the softgels are made with gelatin, an ingredient I usually avoid due to my dietary preferences.
On a positive note, I like the high CBD strength. During my week-long trial, taking one softgel daily and then increasing to two, I noticed consistent effects. About an hour after ingestion, I experienced a mild sense of relaxation each time. Doubling the dose did enhance this feeling slightly, but it was never overwhelming.
CBD Salve

CBD Potency | 50 mg/g |
Volume | 60 g/2 oz |
Total CBD | 6000 mg |
Cost per mg CBD | $0.008 |
Type | Full-spectrum |

This high-strength, unscented CBD salve has a simple, straightforward ingredient list: sunflower oil, olive oil, beeswax, full-spectrum hemp extract, CBD isolate, and vitamin E oil. It contains about 6.5% minor cannabinoids, which is a decent result for a full-spectrum topical.
Antonio’s experience: I like its simple ingredients and unscented smell, with a natural fragrance of olive oil, beeswax, and hemp.
I applied this salve to my knees and ankles daily for two weeks following my regular 4-mile trail runs. The results were subtly beneficial, providing a degree of soreness reduction that I attribute to the high concentration of CBD. Additionally, applying the salve to my neck after long periods of computer work seemed to offer some relief by loosening the muscles. All in all, it works well for targeted relief.
Price & Value
Here’s a breakdown of Alliant Hemp’s product prices:
- CBD oil: 0.5-1.2 cents per mg of CBD
- Gummies: ~1 cents per mg
- Softgels: 0.8 cents per mg
- Salve: 0.8 cents per mg
To be perfectly honest, Alliant has the lowest prices of any CBD brand I’ve reviewed. For example, its prices are much cheaper than Lazarus Naturals, which is already considered an exceptionally affordable brand.
You also get free shipping and can buy Alliant’s entire product bundle for a further 50% off. All in all, Alliant provides some of the best bang for your buck in the CBD industry. However, that does come at the price of lower-quality ingredients and low minor cannabinoids in some products.
Hemp Source and Production Process
Unfortunately, Alliant Hemp doesn’t provide many details about its production process. All that we really know is that its hemp is grown in Oregon and extracted using supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2), the most popular method of CBD extraction. It would be nice to get more info.
Third-Party Testing
Alliant Hemp sends its products for independent testing to Columbia Laboratories, one of the most reputable hemp testing labs. The products are tested for both cannabinoid levels and potential contaminants.
A helpful summary of all the test findings is at the top of each certificate of analysis (CoA) document.
Third-Party Test Results
I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check for:
- CBD content, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
- The levels of THC and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN
- Terpene content (if tested)
- Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
- Whether there are any contaminants

I checked the latest test reports for Alliant Hemp’s products to ensure they are accurate and pure. The tests are up to date and show fairly accurate levels of CBD.
The only major weakness I found is that the softgels had low minor cannabinoid levels for a full-spectrum product. I attached screenshots of two CoAs to give you more details:
- The 1500 mg CBD oil CoA found 1677 mg of CBD, which is a pretty good result as it’s 11.8% higher than the label. The test also found 11.9% minor cannabinoids, which is an excellent result.
- The 75 mg gummies CoA found 78.3 mg of CBD, which is only 4% higher than the label, plus exactly 1 mg of THC, a great result.
Overall, the extent and the results of the third-party testing for Alliant Hemp are impressive.
Shipping & Returns
Alliant Hemp offers free US shipping on all orders. The products are shipped in a plain cardboard box with a return address of “Alliant,” making them quite discreet.
Customer Service & Reputation
Alliant Hemp is not a very well-known CBD brand. However, it has an excellent reputation with its customers because it offers no-frills CBD products at incredibly low prices. Most of the customer reviews on its website and on Reddit are positive.
I also like that the company has a clear mission of making simple, effective CBD products available to everyone. That’s evident as they don’t even have an affiliate program to promote their products, which helps cut prices but makes it harder to market products.
Still, I’d like to see a bit more transparency here, such as revealing the team behind the company and their experience in the hemp sector.
My Verdict: One of the Best Value CBD Brands
If you’re looking for the cheapest but still effective CBD products, Alliant should be at the top of your list.
Its prices are the lowest I’ve come across, and while the products were less potent than other affordable options, like Lazarus Naturals, they’re still fairly effective. The products use simple, straightforward ingredients without any organic certifications or other additions that would increase the price.
