Lumi’s prices are a bit pricey compared to most hemp-derived THC gummies, but you are paying for quality, accuracy, and curated effects.

Lumi’s gummies are made from USDA-certified organic hemp grown on family farms in Central Oregon.
Third-Party Testing 4.5/5

Lumi Gummies Overview

Founded in 2017, Lumi Labs is a company that sells hemp-derived cannabinoid products. Its most popular offering is full-spectrum THC gummies that come in relatively low strengths of 3-5 mg of THC.

These gummies can get you high and are designed to help people relax, get to sleep, relieve stress, and promote creativity.

Lumi got its start in the legal California cannabis industry with a team that includes cannabis farmers, genetics experts, and extraction specialists. They decided to switch to hemp because they saw an opportunity to make high-quality edibles lacking in this unregulated industry.

The result is low-potency THC gummies with a specific blend of cannabinoids and terpenes inspired by classic cannabis strains.

CBD Glossary

  • Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
  • Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial properties (1).
  • Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They may work in synergy with CBD.
  • Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
  • Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
  • CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.

Lumi Gummies Lineup

Lumi is best known for its full-spectrum, hemp-derived THC gummies, which come in multiple flavors inspired by cannabis strains. Each flavor contains THC alongside CBD and minor hemp cannabinoids, as well as a specific blend of cannabis terpenes.

It also sells microdose THC gummies and a microdose tincture with a 4:1:1 ratio of CBD: THC: CBG

For this review, Lumi sent six flavors of its strain-specific gummies to our product reviewer, Antonio. He carefully tested each gummy and shared his thoughts below.

The six gummy flavors Antonio received from Lumi.

Lumi’s THC gummies are made with vegan, organic ingredients and full-spectrum hemp extract. Each gummy contains roughly 5 mg of delta-9 THC, plus a smaller amount of CBD and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN, for about 9 mg total per piece.

The gummies come in nine flavors, each infused with a blend of terpenes inspired by popular cannabis strains:

  1. Durban skittles (sativa)
  2. Orange cream cookies (sativa)
  3. Sour strawberry cookies (hybrid)
  4. Watermelon sorbet (hybrid)
  5. Granddaddy sour OG (indica)
  6. Cotton candy kush (indica)
  7. Pina colada kush (sativa)
  8. Sour caramel apple kush (hybrid)
  9. Plum berry runtz (indica)

Antonio tested the cotton kandy, durban skittles, orange cream cookies, sour OG, watermelon sorbet, and sour strawberry cookies flavors. He took four gummies at a time over three days for each test.

Antonio’s experience: The Lumi D9 THC Gummies were a delightful treat. I took four gummies at a time over three days and thoroughly enjoyed the taste.

I appreciate that all of Lumi’s gummies are vegan and non-GMO and use mostly organic ingredients without any artificial ingredients. The inclusion of the terpene profile on the packaging is a nice touch.

The effects were pleasing without overpowering, providing a gentle, mellow feeling lasting for several hours. As expected, I experienced cottonmouth, dry eyes, and an increased appetite.

I would purchase these gummies again. Their delicious flavor and balanced, mellow effects make them a great choice for those seeking a relaxing time.

Lumi’s microdose tincture provides a 4:1:1 ratio of CBD: THC: CBG, with about 2 mg of THC per dose. Similar to its microdose gummies, this tincture is intended as a mild way to boost your health and mood without strong psychoactive effects.

Price & Value

Here’s a breakdown of Lumi’s prices:

  • Gummies: 14-19 cents per mg of cannabinoids
  • Oil tincture: 20 cents per mg

These prices are more expensive than average. But that’s not surprising, given that Lumi’s products are of high quality, containing precise amounts of cannabinoids, organic ingredients, and specific blends of terpenes. They’re also made with nanotechnology, which may improve the absorption of cannabinoids.

Lumi’s products are closer to the quality of highly regulated cannabis edibles you’d find in legal adult-use states, which is exactly the niche the company wanted to fill in the hemp cannabinoid industry. In that sense, you’re still getting above-average value for your dollar.

Hemp Source and Production Process

Lumi uses a five-step process to make its products:

  1. Growing USDA-certified organic hemp from family farms in Central Oregon
  2. Extracting the cannabinoids and terpenes out of the plant material using CO2 (carbon dioxide)
  3. Refining the extract to create a specific ratio of cannabinoids and terpenes
  4. Using nano-emulsification to break down the hemp extract into tiny droplets that are easier for the body to absorb, improving their effectiveness and the time it takes to feel the effects
  5. Infusing the organic gummies with hemp extract in Portland, Oregon, using an artisan process

This production process sounds impressive.

Third-Party Testing

Lumi Gummies sends its products for independent testing to SC Labs, one of the most reputable cannabis & hemp-testing labs in the country.

The tests measure the levels of cannabinoids and check for pesticides and other contaminants, and the latest test results are displayed on the certificate of analysis (CoA) page.

Third-Party Test Results

I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check for:

  • CBD content, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
  • The levels of THC and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN
  • Terpene content (if tested)
  • Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
  • Whether there are any contaminants

I took a look at the third-party test CoAs posted by Lumi. The results confirm the levels of cannabinoids in its products. The tests are also very recent, which is always great to see.

Lumni microdose gummies CoA.

I attached an example of a CoA for the microdose gummies to give you a sense of what you’re getting.

The test found 2.98 mg of delta-9 THC, 12.5 mg of CBD, and 3.2 mg of CBG, which is very close to the advertised 3 mg THC/12 mg CBD/3 mg CBG. That’s an impressive level of accuracy, especially given that we’re working with relatively small amounts of cannabinoids.

Having said that, there are two issues:

  1. Lumi doesn’t share its contaminant test results.
  2. It would be nice to see test results for terpenes to confirm Lumi’s claims about the specific terpenes it uses for each product.

But overall, the third-party test results look impressive.

Shipping & Returns

Lumi Gummies offers free USPS shipping on all orders. You can return your orders for a refund in new and unused condition within 30 days of purchase.

Customer Service & Reputation

Lumi’s gummies have thousands of overwhelmingly positive customer reviews on its website. The company also has great customer service; they responded quickly and provided documents when I asked questions about their third-party testing and organic hemp certification.

Aside from that, Lumi isn’t the most well-known CBD brand out there. It would be nice to get more details about the people behind the company.

Our Verdict: High-Quality Legal THC Gummies For a Wellness Boost

Lumi’s gummies fit their niche well: high-quality hemp edibles providing a unique psychoactive experience thanks to their unique cannabinoid and terpene blends. We liked the taste and effects of the gummies.

They’re certainly not the cheapest hemp THC gummies out there, but they’re not trying to be. Thanks to the organic ingredients, nanoemulsification technology, and precise cannabinoid and terpene blends, you’re getting products with a similar quality to the regulated cannabis industry.

Our main suggestion is for the company to provide more details about itself.
