Secret Nature CBD Overview
Founded in 2017, Secret Nature is a popular hemp vendor based in Irvine, California. The company is best known for its CBD and THCA-rich flower and vapes, although it also offers other types of products.
It’s quite a popular vendor for full-spectrum CBD carts, disposables, and smokables, as well as THCA and delta-8 options (which are in a legal gray area). Most products come with full-panel third-party test reports, which is great to see.
Secret Nature has over 28,000 customer reviews and is frequently mentioned on Reddit, especially in hemp and CBD vaping communities.
CBD Glossary
- Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
- Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial properties (1).
- Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They may work in synergy with CBD.
- Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
- Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
- CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.

Secret Nature is best known for selling a wide variety of disposable hemp-derived vapes:
- Pure delta-8 vapes in 7 cannabis-inspired flavors
- Full-spectrum THCA vapes in 9 cannabis-inspired flavors
- Full-spectrum CBD live resin vapes in 7 cannabis-inspired flavors

All vapes come with full-panel testing, although some aren’t tested for terpenes.
Antonio’s experience: I tested 3 flavors of the live resin CBD vapes. I like the quality of the vapes and the organically grown live-resin hemp ingredients. All 3 vapes produced pleasant relaxing and calming effects without a strong high. Out of the lemon diesel, forbidden fruit, and gelato flavors, gelato was my favorite; it tasted like sweet fruit candy.

Hemp/Cannabis Flower

Type | Cannabis Flower |

Secret Nature offers indoor-grown hemp and cannabis flower in two varieties:
- CBD hemp flower (high-CBD, low-THC) in a variety of strains.
- THCA flower in a variety of strains. Keep in mind this is basically regular cannabis because the CBD levels are relatively low and the THCA levels (which turns into THC as soon as the flower is smoked) are very high.
You can choose from 3.6g (1/8th), 7g (1/4oz), 14g (1/2oz) and 28 g (1 oz) sizes.
Antonio’s experience: tried out 3 strains of CBD hemp flower and liked them all:
- Mr. Rainbow: This was my favorite strain. The frosty, large buds had a sweet aroma reminiscent of Gelato. As a hybrid, it felt more like an indica, my preferred type. The high was stronger than the others, providing body relaxation with noticeable effects in the face—likely due to myrcene. Effects hit immediately and lasted about 2 hours. I finished this one quickly since I enjoyed it the most.
- Diesel Puff: My second favorite strain. The dense, compact buds had a gassy aroma with hints of citrus and were coated with trichomes. The smoke was smooth and enjoyable. The effects were energizing and ideal for chores, delivering a mild Diesel-style high that kicked in right away and lasted about 2 hours.
- Papaya Nights: This was my least favorite of the three, but still decent. The flower is organically grown and hand-trimmed, with floral aromas and dense buds that crumble easily. However, the smoke was harsher than expected, even through a water bong. The effects included mild euphoria—pleasant but not strong—kicking in immediately and lasting about 2 hours.
Pre-Rolls
Potency | 14-31% |
Pre-Roll Count | 1-7 |
Total THCa | ~900 mg |
Cost per pre-roll | $5.7-12 |
Type | Cannabis Flower |

Secret Nature offers hemp pre-rolls in CBD, delta-8 THC, and THCA varieties. They’re sold in packs of one, two, or seven pre-rolls. Similar to the regular flower, there are several strain varieties.
CBD & THC Gummies
Potency | 5-25 mg |
Gummy Count | 5-60 |
Total Cannabinoids | 100-1500 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.04-0.30 |
Type | Full-spectrum, isolate |

Secret Nature sells live resin CBD and THC gummies. Live resin is a special type of cannabis extract that’s rich in terpenes because it’s made from fresh, frozen cannabis flower. You can choose from several varieties:
- 5 mg THC gummies in hybrid, indica, and sativa terpene flavors
- Full-spectrum 25 mg CBD gummies in hybrid, indica, and sativa terpene flavors
- 20 mg THC gummies in two flavors
Antonio’s experience: I tried the mimosa flavor CBD gummies, enjoying the citrusy orange flavor, even though it’s not specifically mimosa-like. They’re vegan, made with minimal ingredients, and have a chewy texture, though I could do without the sugar coating. I appreciate that they use organically grown live resin extract, which is of higher quality than distillate.
I took 2 gummies (50mg CBD) at a time but didn’t feel much due to my high CBD tolerance. Even with 4 gummies (100mg CBD), the effects were minimal, but I still liked these gummies.
Cannex Capsules
Potency | 160 mg |
Capsule Count | 60 |
Total Cannabinoids | 9600 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.004 |
Type | Full-spectrum, |
Third-Party Test | N/A |
Secret Nature’s Cannex capsules are a pretty unique, high-potency product. They combine 100 mg of CBD, 50 mg of CBG, and 10 mg of CBN with magnesium (50 mg), shilajit (75 mg), black seed powder, glycine, and l-theanine, and a blend of terpenes. This unique formula is designed for pain relief and improving mood. The only thing I don’t like is the lack of third-party tests for this product, which are needed to prove the high cannabinoid potency.
Antonio’s experience: I really liked these capsules for their high cannabinoid content and natural ingredients. I started with the recommended 2 capsules in the evening, ~2 hours before bed. Within an hour, I felt mild calming effects—relaxed and content, though not drowsy. After several days, I noticed reduced knee pain from a meniscus injury and better mobility. They also helped ease stress and improve sleep on high-stress days without causing drowsiness.
Price & Value
The easiest way to compare the value of CBD products is to divide the total cost by the amount of CBD. For example, if you have a 1500 mg CBD oil that costs $100, its price per milligram (mg) of CBD would be 100/1500 = $0.07.
You also have to consider that the prices vary by product type.
Here’s a breakdown of Secret Nature’s prices:
- CBD & THCA vapes: 6-7 cents per mg of CBD
- Delta-8 THC vapes: 4 cents per mg of D8
- Cartridges: 3-8 cents per mg of cannabinoids
- CBD Flower: $6.8-11.4 per gram
- THCA Flower: $8.2-12.9 per gram
- Pre-rolls: $5.7-12 per pre-roll
- CBD gummies: 4 cents per mg
- THC gummies: 22-30 cents per mg
These prices are considered about average or slightly above for the CBD market, especially for vapes and cannabis flower. But given the quality and effectiveness of both, you are still getting above-average value.
Having said that, you can find similar quality hemp flower and vapes at a cheaper price point elsewhere.
Hemp Source and Production Process
Secret Nature doesn’t tell us a whole lot about its process. It claims to use organic, indoor-grown, hand-trimmed hemp plants to make its products, but there are no details or proof provided.
For example, we’d like to know where the hemp is grown and whether Secret Nature buys its hemp from other producers or handles everything in-house.
Third-Party Testing
Secret Nature works with several labs to independently test its products, including New Bloom Labs, Marin Analytics, Pinnacle Analytics, Columbia Laboratories, and ACS Lab.
Most of these names are very reputable, except Marin Analytics, which is a low-quality lab that Secret Nature mostly uses for their THCA flower (maybe because more reputable labs don’t want to test THCA products due to their gray legal status).
Most products are tested comprehensively for both cannabinoid potency and contaminants (as well as some terpene potency tests), whereas the flower is only tested for potency.
You can find the latest test reports on the laboratory test results page.
Third-Party Test Results
I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check:
- The cannabinoid content, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
- The levels of THC and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN
- The terpene content (if tested)
- Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
- Whether there are any contaminants
I took a look at the latest certificates of analysis (CoA) for most of Secret Nature’s products. The results are mostly good but there are some issues:
- No contaminant tests for the hemp flower. It would be nice to see testing for mold and other potential contaminants
- The THCA flower is tested by Marin Analytics, a low-quality testing lab
- Some tests are a bit outdated (from 2022)
- Many different labs are used; it can get a bit confusing for folks trying to read the test results since they all have slightly different formats
I added screenshots of two lab tests to give a more detailed explanation:
- The THCA disposable vape tests show high levels of both THCA (47%) and CBD (19%) and several other cannabinoids.
- The forbidden fruit CBD vape test shows a full spectrum of cannabinoids as well as multiple terpenes, confirming this is a quality live resin extract.
Overall, the test results and extent of testing are good. But there is room to improve.
Shipping & Returns
Secret Nature offers free US shipping on orders over $75 and faster paid shipping options. It also ships internationally to most countries via USPS or FedEx.
You can return unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, minus return shipping costs.
Customer Service & Reputation
Secret Nature has over 28,000 customer reviews on its website, which is quite a lot. Most of these reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but of course, they could be suppressing negative reviews.
I also looked at some reviews on Reddit, because they have a higher chance of being honest. I found that most people agreed that Secret Nature’s vapes and flower were of good quality but that the prices were a bit too high.
Aside from that though, Secret Nature is (pardon the pun) a bit too secretive to have a strong reputation. It doesn’t reveal the names of anyone behind the company and doesn’t provide a whole lot of details on its production process.
My Verdict: High-Quality Hemp Vapes & Flower, But Pricey
All in all, Secret Nature is a pretty good option for hemp CBD and THC vapes and flower. The quality is definitely there.
Having said that, the company has room to improve, like lowering prices, using fewer and only high-quality testing labs, and being more transparent about its team and production process.
I get that it’s operating in a legal gray area by selling THCA and delta-8 THC products, but other brands, like Hometown Hero, do that as well and remain highly transparent.
