Neurogan Overview
Neurogan is a family-owned CBD brand founded by Jan Brandrup and his two sons Alexander and Nicklas in 2016. A serial entrepreneur, the Danish-born Jan Brandrup became interested in the benefits of CBD after the family relocated to San Diego, California.
Neurogan sells a wide variety of CBD products, including oils, gummies, capsules, topicals, hemp flower, and and even CBD cigarettes. It also holds the distinction of selling one of the strongest CBD oils on the market: 12,000 mg in 2 oz or about 200 mg/ml.
Everything is tested by a third-party lab, with the test reports available directly on the product page.
Did you know? Hemp has been cultivated in Denmark for many centuries, and Jan Brandrup’s grandmother used to brew hemp tea when he was little. Endoca, one of the oldest and most respected hemp CBD brands, was also founded in Denmark.
CBD Glossary
- Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
- Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial properties (1).
- Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They may work in synergy with CBD.
- Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
- Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
- CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.
Neurogan CBD Product Lineup
Neurogan has a wide-ranging lineup of CBD products, including full-spectrum and THC-free oils, edibles, capsules, topicals, and smokables. There are also many CBG and CBN products to choose from.
For this review, Antonio tested out the full-spectrum CBD oil, CBN oil, and CBG focus gummies.

Neurogan’s citrus-flavored CBD oil comes in full-spectrum and broad-spectrum (THC-free) versions. It’s not only low-priced but also available in extremely high strengths (200 mg per ml). The minor cannabinoid levels are a bit low though (5-7%).
Antonio’s experience: I like the high strength of this oil and enjoyed the grapefruit flavor, which is easily one of the best-tasting CBD tinctures I’ve had. I didn’t notice strong effects but that’s probably because I have a high tolerance. The only downside was that the dropper doesn’t hold the oil that well, so it drips between moving it from the bottle to your mouth.
CBN + CBD Oil
Potency | 67-200 mg/ml |
Volume | 60 ml |
Total Cannabinoids | 4000-12000 mg |

This full-spectrum CBD oil provides a 1:1 ratio of CBD to cannabinol (CBN), the cannabinoid touted for its sleep benefits. It comes in high strengths of 67 and 200 mg per ml.
Antonio’s experience: There were several things I liked about this oil. It’s quite possibly the best-tasting hemp extract oil I’ve ever had. It’s flavored with grapefruit oil, which overpowers the hemp extract, making it taste pretty much just like grapefruit, which I enjoy. I really like that the product is full-spectrum and only has 3 total ingredients.
I tried 1 serving at a time, which is only half of the dropper at 0.5ml. I didn’t get super sleepy after taking it, but I did sleep through most of the night without interruption. The only downside was that the dropper doesn’t hold the oil that well, so it drips between moving it from the bottle to your mouth.
CBG Oil
CBG Potency | 67-200 mg/ml |
Volume | 60 ml |
Total Cannabinoids | 2,000-12,000 mg |

CBG oil is typically used during the daytime to boost energy, focus, mood, and motivation. Neurogan sells two CBG formulas:

Neurogan sells a huge variety of CBD gummies, including:
- Full-spectrum CBD gummies in strengths of 45-120 mg per piece
- Broad-spectrum CBD gummies
- 100 mg CBD/10 mg Delta-9 THC gummies
- Full-spectrum 45 CBG gummies and 1:1 CBD/CBG gummies
- CBN + CBD gummies for sleep with and without melatonin

- Full-spectrum indica terpene gummies for relaxation and sativa terpene for mood & focus
- CBD + apple cider vinegar gummies for inflammation

All of these gummies are made with vegan ingredients and no artificial flavoring. This is one of the most impressive CBD gummy lineups I’ve come across. There are also CBD mints and honeysticks.
Antonio’s experience: I tested the 45 mg CBG focus gummies. They tasted really good with a pleasant chewy texture, so it was hard not to eat the whole bottle. I noticed feeling mentally alert and focused from two gummies so I started eating these before writing sessions.
CBD Capsules
Potency | 100 mg |
Capsule Count | 30-120 |
Total CBD | 1,000-12,000 mg |

Like the gummies, Neurogan’s vegan-friendly capsules come in a wide variety of formulas and strengths:

- RSO (raw Scandinavian oil) 200 mg capsules rich in CBD & CBDa
- 125 mg CBN tablets for sleep
- Full-spectrum CBD capsules with 2 mg THC and 200 mg of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), a cannabinoid-like compound made by our bodies that helps with pain and more
Again, the variety here is impressive, but the minor cannabinoid levels can be higher.
CBD Topicals

Neurogan sells a variety of CBD products for dogs, cats, and horses:
- THC-free CBD oil for dogs
- Regular, calming, and mobility CBD dog treats
- THC-free CBD oil for cats
- CBD oil, pellets, and chews for horses
I like the variety but the minor cannabinoid levels are a bit low.

Total CBG | ~9300 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.03 |
Type | Isolate |

Neurogan also sells ~93% pure CBG isolate powder. This is great for when you want to save money, have more control over how you take CBG, or make your own preparations like CBG-infused foods or tinctures.
Price & Value
The easiest way to compare the value of CBD products is to divide the total cost by the amount of CBD. For example, if you have a 1500 mg CBD oil that costs $100, its price per milligram (mg) of CBD would be 100/1500 = $0.07.
You also have to consider that the prices vary by product type. Here’s a breakdown of Neurogan’s product prices:
- CBD oil: 1-3 cents per mg of cannabinoids
- Gummies: 1-5 cents per mg
- Topicals: 0.7-20 cents per mg
- Smokables: 3-5 cents per mg
- Pet products: 0.3-6 cents per mg
These are some of the lowest prices I’ve seen in the CBD industry, especially for such a reputable, transparent brand. In fact, the only other leading brand with prices this low is Lazarus Naturals, which is my overall favorite CBD vendor. You’re getting great value with Neurogan.
Hemp Source and Production Process
Unfortunately, Neurogan doesn’t provide many details about its production process. All that we know is that the company uses California-grown hemp that’s extracted with carbon dioxide (CO2), the most popular extraction method for CBD products.
Third-Party Testing
Neurogan sends its products for independent testing to Infinite Chemical, a reputable third-party testing lab. The products are tested for both cannabinoid levels and potential contaminants.
The latest test results are attached to each product page, as well as a dedicated “certificate of analysis” (CoA) page.
Third-Party Test Results
I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check for:
- CBD content, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
- The levels of THC and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN
- Terpene content (if tested)
- Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
- Whether there are any contaminants
Taking a look at the latest tests for Neurogan shows pretty good results, with all products containing the right type of CBD extract and fairly accurate CBD content.
I attached screenshots of two CoAs to give you more details:
- The 12,000 mg CBD oil CoA found 12441 mg of CBD, which is a great result that’s only 4% higher than claimed. The test also found 7% minor cannabinoids, which is a little low but still a decent result.
- The 45 mg gummies CoA found 49.7 mg of CBD, which is about 10% more than a label, a great result, plus 5.5% minor cannabinoids. That’s a bit low but still ok for full-spectrum gummies.
Overall, Neurogan’s third-party tests are solid but the company can boost up its minor cannabinoid levels to be better.
Shipping & Returns
Neurogan ships for free on orders above $70 (US) and a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with your product, received the wrong item, or it arrived damaged, you can request a full refund or replacement within 30 days of purchase.
Customer Service & Reputation
Neurogan is a reputable brand for many reasons. It’s a family-run business and shares the names, photos, and backgrounds of its team, which builds a sense of trust with its customers.
I also like the historical connection between hemp, Denmark, and the family’s history. And the customer reviews on Neurogan’s website are overwhelmingly positive.
My Verdict: A Top-Tier CBD Brand
All in all, Neurogan is an impressive CBD company and deserves to be one of the market leaders.
Its prices are exceptionally low, with only a few vendors offering similarly affordable CBD, like Lazarus Naturals and Alliant Hemp. I also like the huge variety of products, especially the minor cannabinoid formulas and high-potency options.
My only major complaint is that Neurogan isn’t the most transparent about its production process. It would be nice to learn exactly where and how the hemp is grown. Also, the minor cannabinoid levels in some products are a bit low.
