Miraflora Naturals is a Colorado-based company that sells full-spectrum CBD products made from USDA-certified organic hemp. While it does have a full lineup of third-party tested products, Miraflora is best known for its innovative CBD drinks.

Summary

Miraflora is a solid brand, especially for CBD-infused beverages. But the prices can be better and some products are low in minor cannabinoids.

Miraflora Overview

Miraflora Naturals is a vertically integrated CBD company based in Colorado. That means it has full control of every step of the supply chain: from growing the hemp plants on a USDA-certified organic farm in Colorado to selling the finished products.

Miraflora was founded by the Wynne-Facchinello family in 2019 and gets its name from the Latin “mira” (wonderful, amazing) and “flora” (flower). 

It sells a diverse variety of third-party tested CBD goods, including oils, gummies, capsules, skincare, and pet products, but is best known for its CBD-infused beverages. In this review, we’ll cover Miraflora’s products, pricing, third-party test reports, and more to give you an unbiased look at the company.

Miraflora Product Lineup

Miraflora offers a wide range of full-spectrum CBD products, including tinctures, edibles, topicals, and even beverages and pet products.

CBD Tincture

Miraflora’s full-spectrum tincture is available in two flavors — natural and mint. You can choose from three bottle sizes (0.5, 1, and 2 fl oz) and two potencies: 10 mg/ml and 50 mg/ml. 

We like that it contains more than 10% minor cannabinoids but we’d like to see another high-potency option (like 100 mg/ml).

Immunity CBD Gummies

Miraflora’s immunity gummies contain a mix of full-spectrum CBD (25 mg) and immunity-boosting ingredients like zinc and elderberry. We like this formula since it provides greater benefits than generic gummies and has above-average strength. But the minor cannabinoid levels are low.

CBD Capsules

Miraflora offers regular and sleep-formulated CBD softgels. 

CBD Soft Gels

Miraflora’s softgels contain standard full-spectrum CBD extract in 10 mg or 25 mg strengths and come in 30 or 60-count bottles (10 mg only). But we’d prefer a slightly cheaper price and more strengths or bottle sizes.

+ Sleep CBD Soft Gels

The + Sleep CBD Soft Gels contain the same 25 mg of full-spectrum CBD but with 3 mg of added melatonin. We like the simplicity of this formula but it can be cheaper and come in additional strengths or bottle sizes.

CBD Topicals

Miraflora’s topical products include bath bombs, body butter, and balms. 

CBD Body Butter

This skincare CBD cream contains 250-500 mg of full-spectrum CBD, the anti-inflammatory herb arnica, and common moisturizers and topical ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and lavender extract. You can choose from 0.5 or 1 fl oz sizes. 

CBD Recovery Balm

The Miraflora Recovery Balm is designed to help with workout recovery and physical discomfort. It has the same potency as the skincare butter (16.7 mg of CBD per ml) and three container sizes: 0.5, 1, and 2 oz. 

The formula is also similar except for the addition of 2% menthol: the most popular topical pain reliever (3). We like this product but the CBD strength should be higher for a pain-focused product.

CBD Lip Balm

Miraflora’s CBD balm contains 25 mg of full-spectrum CBD infused with moisturizing beeswax, peppermint oil, and vitamin E. 

CBD Bath Bomb

These full-spectrum bath bombs are infused with 60 mg of full-spectrum CBD. They come in calm (lavender jasmine) and revitalize (citrus rosemary) fragrances.

Although we’re not against bath bombs, we don’t think they’re an effective way to use CBD because it’s not water-soluble. Besides, 60 mg of CBD is a tiny amount when dissolved in gallons of water. 

CBD Beverages

Miraflora is one of few brands offering CBD-infused beverages. Each 248 ml drink contains 35 mg of full-spectrum CBD with few calories and no sugar.

They come in three formulations: balance (with vitamins/minerals and two flavors), relax (with calming chamomile), and sport (with amino acids, collagen, and coconut water). Miraflora also offers a sampling bundle that includes all four flavors. 

These are some of the best CBD beverages on the market thanks to their strength, full-spectrum extract, added ingredients, low calories, and reasonable price. Our only complaint is that they contain small amounts of minor hemp cannabinoids, with some test reports not detecting THC.

CBD Pet Wellness

Miraflora offers CBD oil and treats for dogs.

CBD Dog Tincture

This full-spectrum tincture has a low potency, making it suitable for both dogs and cats. But we’d like to see at least one additional potency for larger dogs. 

CBD Dog Chews

Miraflora’s full-spectrum dog chews contain 10 mg CBD per piece and have two flavor options:

• a salmon-flavored joint & brain formula with wild Alaskan salmon, omega-3s, joint supplement glucosamine, and anti-stress herb ashwagandha
• A calm formula with added ashwagandha, calming chamomile and GABA, and a blend of mushrooms

We like the stronger-than-usual CBD strength, full-spectrum extract, and additional ingredients. 

Price & Value

The easiest way to compare the value of CBD products is to divide the total cost by the amount of CBD. For example, if you have a 1500 mg CBD oil that costs $100, its price per milligram (mg) of CBD would be 100/1500 = $0.07. 

You also have to consider that the prices vary by product type.

Here’s the breakdown of Miraflora prices:

• CBD tincture: $0.10-0.12 per mg of CBD
• Capsules: $0.11 per mg
• Gummies: $0.07 per mg
• Topicals: $0.09-0.10 per mg
• Beverages: $0.12-0.14
• Pet products: $0.10-0.11

Most of these costs are close to average, except for pet chews and beverages. But you do get some added savings by subscribing to scheduled deliveries (30% off) and free shipping on all orders. 

Overall, Miraflora provides slightly above average value, especially since its products are made from USDA-certified organic hemp. But only its beverages and pet chews are priced below average.

Hemp Source and Production Process

Miraflora Naturals sources hemp from its 160-acre USDA organic-certified farm in Boulder, Colorado. The farm has been family-owned for over a century before being acquired by the Wynne-Facchinello family — the owners and founders of Miraflora Naturals

The farm uses snowmelt from Rocky Mountain National Park and nutrient-rich fertilizer from its own alpaca herd. 

The hemp is extracted using the standard CO2 extraction process, one of the two main extraction methods used to make full-spectrum CBD products. 

Third-Party Testing

Miraflora’s products are tested by a third-party lab for both potency and contaminants (although some, like the gummies, are only tested for potency). The company works with a variety of reputable labs, including reputable names like DB Labs, Botanacor, and CannaSafe. 

Some products are also tested for the terpene profile, which is a nice additional detail that helps measure the quality of a full-spectrum CBD product.

Third-Party Test Results

We always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe and accurate products. We check:

• The levels of CBD, which should be within 10% of the label (4)
• The levels of minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBC
• The levels of THC
• Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
• Whether there are any contaminants

Here’s a closer look at the third-party lab test certificates of analysis (CoAs) for two Miraflora products:

• The yuzu chamomile CBD beverage, showing 41.7 mg CBD instead of the advertised 35 mg (19.2% higher) and no THC
• The 1500 mg tincture, which found 1350 mg CBD (10% less) and multiple cannabinoids

Overall, the test results are pretty good. But they do highlight some areas for Miraflora to work on:

• Some products have low minor cannabinoid levels (including very little or non-detectable THC)
• The beverage CBD content can be more accurate
• Some test results are outdated (over a year old)
• Some products are only tested for potency

Miraflora offers free shipping on all U.S. orders. The return policy states that you can return a product within 90 days only if it’s unopened. 

Customer Service & Reputation

Miraflora Naturals was founded in 2019, so it’s a fairly new brand without an established reputation. 

But it does have dozens of mostly 5-star reviews on its website. We also like that Miraflora is transparent about the people running the company and the production process, which is always a good sign. 

Our Verdict: Solid Option for CBD Drinks 

We recommend Miraflora if you’re looking for CBD-infused beverages. It’s one of the only companies offering well-formulated CBD drinks at a reasonable price point. The dog chews are great as well.

We also like that Miraflora is transparent about its production, vertically integrated, and uses USDA-certified organic hemp.

While the rest of its products are solid as well, some are lacking in strength varieties or have low minor cannabinoid levels. We’d also like to see more accurate, comprehensive third-party testing results.
