Foria Overview
Foria Wellness is a unique CBD brand specializing in enhancing sexual experiences. In their own words, Foria is “here to help you have really good sex & more of it.” Its products are marketed for women and focus on topical application in intimate areas. That’s why its most popular offerings are topical CBD oils and suppositories.
Foria was founded in 2014 in Boulder, Colorado by entrepreneur Jon Brandon with the goal of using plants to enhance sexual and menstrual comfort. The company provides detailed third-party testing reports for all products.
CBD Glossary
- Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
- Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial effects (1).
- Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They work in synergy with CBD.
- Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
- Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
- CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.
Foria CBD Product Lineup
Foria sells CBD lube, suppositories, arousal oil, as well as regular CBD oil and a salve. You can also buy some products in bundles in smaller volumes/packs. Additionally, there are several CBD-free products (not reviewed here).
For this review, our product expert Antonio tried out the awaken arousal CBD oil, intimacy sex oil, CBD salve, and CBD melts alongside his wife.

Awaken Arousal CBD Oil

CBD Potency | 1 mg/ml |
Volume | 30 ml |
Total cannabinoids | 30 mg |
Cost per mg | $1.6 |
Type | Broad-spectrum |

Foria’s most popular product, this broad-spectrum CBD oil is designed for topical application in intimate areas. It promotes increased blood flow and sensation and has additional ingredients including kava root, cinnamon, ginger, peppermint, cacao, and vanilla. While I like the formula, the CBD content is very low.
Antonio’s experience: This is another plant-based product that my wife and I both enjoyed using together. She loved the gentle warming sensation and felt it heightened her sensitivity, adding to her pleasure. I also noticed the warming effect, which added to the overall enjoyment for both of us. It’s a great product for enhancing intimacy naturally.
Intimacy Sex Oil

CBD Potency | 7 mg/ml |
Volume | 56 ml |
Total cannabinoids | 400 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.08–0.10 |
Type | Broad-spectrum |
Formulas | 2 |

This CBD lube is designed for both men and women. It contains only 400 mg of broad-spectrum CBD and coconut MCT oil. Again, I’d like the CBD strength to be a bit higher.
Antonio’s experience: My wife and I like this oil because it’s 100% plant-based, has a synthetic-free formulation and contains only two simple ingredients. It has a smooth feel comparable to other lubricants made from coconut oil, delivering a natural and enjoyable experience. Both my wife and I really appreciated its quality and performance, and we would definitely choose to get it again.
CBD Melts

CBD Potency | 50-150 mg |
Suppository Count | 4 |
Total cannabinoids | 200-800 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.06–0.10 |

Foria’s CBD melts are suppositories designed for anal and vaginal use. They contain cocoa butter and dissolve to enhance the sexual experience. The melts come in three varieties:
- Intimacy melts with 20 mg CBD for improving sex
- Relief melts with 100 mg CBD for relief of pelvic and menstrual pain
- Booty melts with 150 mg CBD and CBG for anal comfort and relaxation
Antonio’s experience: With a simple, two-ingredient formulation, the CBD melts were great for my wife and I. She mentioned feeling comfortable and relaxed, which made the experience more enjoyable for her. While I didn’t notice a significant difference in sensation, I did appreciate the overall feel and how much she enjoyed it. My wife also tried using one of the suppositories during menstrual cramps. Within 45 minutes, her pain was noticeably reduced, and the relief lasted for the rest of the day.
CBD Relief Salve

CBD Potency | 11 mg/ml |
Size | 1.8 oz (53 ml) |
Total CBD | 600 mg |
Cost per mg CBD | $0.08 |
Type | Full-spectrum |

This balm combines 600 mg of full-spectrum CBD with other popular pain-relieving ingredients like kava, ginger, St. John’s wort, and more. I like the ingredients but Foria should use a higher CBD content.
Antonio’s experience: My wife and I like that this has a plant-based formula and its ingredients include several medicinal essential oils. The scent is nice and mild, blending spicy peppermint and eucalyptus. I used this salve to massage my wife’s neck and shoulders, and she found it incredibly effective in easing muscle tension and promoting relaxation. I would get this again for massage and any general muscle soreness.
CBD Wellness Tonic

CBD Potency | 33 mg/ml |
Volume | 30 ml |
Total cannabinoids | 1000 mg |
Cost per mg | $0.06 |
Type | Broad-spectrum |
Flavors | 3 |

This is a regular broad-spectrum (THC-free) CBD oil available in unflavored, mint, and orange flavors. The minor cannabinoid levels are quite low; I only see small amounts of CBDV on the third-party test. I’d also like to see higher strength options as 1000 mg is too low for many people.
Price & Value
The easiest way to compare the value of CBD products is to divide the total cost by the amount of CBD. For example, if you have a 1500 mg CBD oil that costs $100, its price per milligram (mg) of CBD would be 100/1500 = $0.07.
You also have to consider that the prices vary by product type.
Here’s a breakdown of Foria CBD’s prices:
- CBD oil: 6 cents per mg of CBD
- Intimacy products: 6-10 cents per mg
- CBD topicals: 8 cents per mg
The prices for regular CBD products like wellness oil and salve are a bit higher than average. As for the intimacy products, there aren’t many other brands to compare to. But given how rare these products are, I’d say the price is perfectly reasonable.
You can also subscribe to weekly deliveries for 15% off and you can buy the arousal CBD oil in 3 or 6-bottle packs for greater savings. All in All, Foria provides decent value for the price, especially given their unique focus on intimacy products.
Hemp Source and Production Process
Foria works together with Materia, a regenerative hemp farm and extraction company. Its USDA-certified organic farms are located in the Western Slope of Colorado and the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
The hemp is grown with regenerative practices like water conservation, and supporting biodiversity around the farm. It’s then extracted with USDA-certified organic subcritical CO2 extraction, a method that is less harsh and does a better job of preserving fragile molecules like terpenes and essential oils.
I generally prefer companies that grow and extract their own hemp (vertical certification) but Foria’s hemp source/extractor is pretty impressive.
Third-Party Testing
Foria sends its products for third-party testing to reputable laboratories, including ACS Laboratory and Murray-Brown Laboratories. The products are tested for cannabinoid content and contaminants. Some products are also tested for terpene levels, which is always nice to see.
All of the test results are available on Foria’s product testing page.
Third-Party Test Results
I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check:
- The cannabinoid content, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
- The levels of THC and minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN
- The terpene content (if tested)
- Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
- Whether there are any contaminants
I checked the latest test results for Foria’s CBD products. Most contain accurate levels of CBD. However, all of the products advertised as broad-spectrum contain low levels of only one minor cannabinoid, which is a poor result for broad-spectrum CBD.
Having said that, it’s nice to see that most tests are recent. Also, the full-spectrum salve test was solid, with 7% minor cannabinoid content.

I added screenshots of two tests to give you an example:
- The 400 mg CBD intimacy sex oil test found about 479 mg of CBD, which is roughly 20% higher than advertised. However, the test only found 2.5% minor cannabinoids (small amounts of CBG), which is a poor result for broad-spectrum hemp extract.
- The wellness 1000 mg CBD oil test found roughly 1170 mg of CBD, which is 17% higher than advertised but still fairly accurate. But there are only 0.6% minor cannabinoids (small amounts of CBDV), which is another weak result for broad-spectrum CBD.
In summary, Foria needs to improve the minor cannabinoid content of its broad-spectrum products. Right now, they look more like pure CBD. But the extent of testing is good and the CBD content is fairly accurate.
Shipping & Returns
Foria ships throughout the United States with an average 3-6 business day delivery time. Orders over $70 ship for free, except for areas like Alaska and Hawaii. There’s also an expedited shipping option.
Foria also ships to some (but not all) non-US countries, with the cost based on your destination. Keep in mind that customs clearance is the sole responsibility of the customer as CBD laws vary around the world.
As for refunds, there’s a 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee, although return shipping is non-refundable.
Customer Service & Reputation
Foria has thousands of customer reviews on its website, which are mostly positive. Reviews I could find on Reddit (which are great for getting an honest look, since the brand can’t hide them) were mostly positive but mixed. The general consensus was that the products did help with sex and discomfort but not as strongly as you’d like.
I also like that they donate 1% of every order to a nonprofit organization of your choice. All in all, Foria seems like a solid brand, but it’s not as well known as leading CBD vendors.
Our Verdict: Worth A Try for Sexual Health
Foria is a fairly niche CBD brand. If you’re dealing with menstrual discomfort or want to — to put it bluntly — spice up your sex, it’s worth giving Foria a try. Our reviewer’s experience was positive, with the products helping relieve menstrual cramps and enhance sex.
Having said that, we’d like Foria to include higher CBD levels in some of its products and improve the quality of the broad-spectrum CBD extract.
