Products 4.5/5

Price & Value 3.5/5
Most of Allitom’s products are right around the average market price, although a couple are cheaper.
Hemp Quality 4/5
According to Allitom, its CBD is sourced from organic hemp cultivated in Kentucky. I’d like to see USDA organic certification and additional details about the cultivation process.
Third-Party Testing 3.5/5
Allitom provides third-party potency tests confirming that its products contain the correct amount and type of CBD. But there’s no contaminant testing and some results are outdated.
Customer Service & Reputation 4/5

Allitom Overview

Founded in 2017 in Chicago, Illinois, Allitom offers a full range of CBD products. The company’s lineup includes CBD oil, gummies, topicals, pet products, isolates, legal THC edibles, and even smokable CBD hemp flower.

You can find Allitom’s products both online and in dozens of stores across multiple states. They’re sourced from hemp grown on a family farm in Kentucky and extracted with CO2. Allitom provides third-party potency tests for its products so you can confirm that they match the label.

CBD Glossary

  • Hemp: cannabis variety with high CBD and low THC levels (no more than 0.3%).
  • Terpenes: aromatic plant compounds with various beneficial properties (1).
  • Minor cannabinoids: CBN, CBG, CBC, and other beneficial cannabinoids found in smaller amounts in hemp. They may work in synergy with CBD.
  • Full-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract containing multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This form of CBD is about four times more potent than pure CBD (2).
  • Broad-spectrum: whole-plant hemp extract similar to full-spectrum CBD, but with THC removed (may contain trace amounts).
  • CBD isolate: pure CBD without any other hemp compounds.

Allitom CBD Product Lineup

Allitom has one of the most comprehensive CBD product lineups I’ve come across. It includes CBD oil tinctures, capsules, gummies, topicals, pet products, hemp flower, isolates, and intoxicating delta-8 and delta-9 THC gummies.

CBD Oil Tinctures

Allitom’s CBD oil is available in both full-spectrum and CBD isolate varieties. The full spectrum oil is available in strengths of 33-83 mg/ml, which is a great range to fit everyone’s needs.

Third-party tests show ~9% minor cannabinoids, which is decent but a little below the minimum 10% I look for from high-quality full-spectrum CBD products.

CBN Oil

This sleep-focused THC-free tincture combines 600 mg of pure CBD and 450 mg of CBN, plus and the sleep-promoting herbs valerian and chamomile. I would have a preferred a full-spectrum formula and a second, higher strength, but the ingredient list looks solid for promoting a good night’s rest.

If you’re looking for simple and effective capsules, Allitom’s full-spectrum CBD softgels are a good option. They carry about 11% minor cannabinoids, which is a good result. But they do contain gelatin, so they’re not vegan-friendly.

CBD Gummies

Allitom sells vegan gummies in isolate (10 mg CBD) and full-spectrum (25 mg CBD) varieties. The full-spectrum gummies carry about 9% minor cannabinoids, which is a decent amount.

CBD Topicals

Allitom has a wide variety of topical CBD products to choose from, including:

  • A CBD balm with 500 mg of broad-spectrum CBD and other standard skincare ingredients.
  • A cooling cream with cream with 1500 mg pure CBD, menthol, and other evidence-based ingredients for pain and inflammation, like arnica. There’s also a warming version with capsaicin instead of menthol.
  • Lip balm with 25 mg of pure CBD or 50 mg of full-spectrum CBD
  • A hand & body lotion with 1000 mg of pure CBD (10 mg/ml) blended with standard skincare ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and vitamins.
  • Two bath soak scents infused with 250 mg of pure CBD and other herbal ingredients

While I like the variety, the CBD balm third-party test only found CBD and didn’t detect other cannabinoids that should be present in broad-spectrum CBD.

Isolates

If you’re in the market for pure CBD, Allitom offers CBD isolate powder (1 gram). There’s also a version made with pure CBG, another beneficial cannabinoid that’s been growing in popularity.

CBD-rich hemp flower has been growing in popularity. Allitom sells four kinds of CBD and CBG hemp flower pre-rolls (1 g), as well as 3.5 g containers of hemp flower in two strains: Hawaiian Haze and Lifter. However, the prices are a little steep for flower.

Delta-8 & Delta-9 THC Gummies

4.5/5

Potency30-100 mg
Gummy Count3-20
Total cannabinoids200-1000 mg
Cost per mg$0.05–0.15

Third-Party TestView report

Allitom sells vegan, hemp-derived delta-8 and delta-9 THC gummies in multiple strengths and flavors:

  • Pure delta-8 THC gummies in high potencies of 50-100 mg
  • Mixed flavor gummies with 10-20 mg D8 and 20 mg CBD
  • Gummies with 10-20 mg delta-9 THC and 20 mg CBD in many flavors

If you’re looking for intoxicating hemp products, this is some great variety of formulas and strengths to choose from. But the product pages are missing the full ingredients list.

THCa Flower

Weight2.5-3.5 g
Total Cannabinoids~23-24%
Cost per gram$11.4-14
Strains6
Third-Party TestView report

This “THCa flower” product sits in a legal gray area. Technically speaking, it’s legal because it contains less than 0.3% delta-9 THC.

However, the third-party tests show high levels of THCa, the acidic cannabinoid that turns into delta-9 THC when you decarboxylate it (usually by smoking it). That’s exactly the same thing as regular marijuana, which is also rich in THCa which only turns into THC when you light it.

I’m not sure if this type of cannabis flower is legal but it has been popping up from many vendors in 2023, so we may see the DEA or other authorities release a statement about it soon.

Pet Products

CBD Oil for Cats & Dogs

Cost per mg$0.05–0.10

Third-Party TestView report

Allitom’s pet CBD oil comes in three strengths designed for cats, dogs, as well as medium and large dog breeds. However, the strengths are a little low considering that they contain pure CBD rather than broad or full-spectrum extract.

CBD Dog Treats

4.5/5

CBD Potency5 mg
Treat Count35
Total CBD175 mg
Cost per mg$0.11
TypeIsolate
Third-Party TestView report

These peanut butter-flavored dog treats contain 5 mg of pure CBD with 35 pieces per jar.

Price

The easiest way to compare the prices of different CBD products to see if you’re getting a good deal is to divide the total cost by the amount of CBD. For example, if you have a 1500 mg CBD oil that costs $100, its price per mg would be 100/1500 = $0.07.

For Allitom, these prices are:

  • CBD oil: 3-7 cents per mg of CBD
  • Gummies: 5-10 cents per mg
  • Capsules: 7 cents per mg
  • Topicals: 3-12 cents per mg (not counting the lip balms)
  • Isolates: 1-2 cents per mg
  • Delta-8 & delta-9 THC: 5-15 cents per mg
  • Pet products: 5-11 cents per mg
  • Hemp flower: $8.6-19.99 per gram

These prices are close to the market average. But several products are a bit cheaper, like the high-strength CBD oil and gummies, and high-potency delta-8 gummies.

All in all, Allitom’s prices are reasonable, but there are cheaper and better known brands.

Hemp Source and Extraction Process

Allitom’s CBD comes from organic hemp cultivated on a family farm in Kentucky. While the company doesn’t offer much detail, we do know that Kentucky is one of the best hemp-growing states in the country.

Like most companies, Allitom uses the clean, efficient carbon dioxide (CO2) method to extract CBD from hemp.

Third-Party Testing

Allitom works with multiple third-party laboratories to test the potency of its products. The ones they use the most are Smithers and Wisconsin’s Badger Labs. Although these labs aren’t that well-known in the hemp industry, they appear reputable judging from their websites.

Third-Party Test Results

I always look at third-party lab test results to confirm that CBD companies sell safe, accurate, and effective products. Specifically, I check for:

  • The levels of CBD, which should be within 10% of the label (3)
  • The levels of minor cannabinoids like CBG (quality full-spectrum products should have at least 10%)
  • The levels of THC
  • Whether the CBD type (full, broad-spectrum, or isolate) is accurate
  • Whether there are any contaminants

I checked the test results for most of Allitom’s products. Most of the certificates of analysis (CoA) documents are up-to-date and show good results, confirming that Allitom’s products are accurate in terms of CBD content and extract type. I only found one product (the balm) which seemed to contain pure CBD rather than the advertised broad-spectrum extract.

I added a CoA of the 2500 mg full-spectrum CBD oil above as an example. The tests detected 2757 mg of CBD, which is just within 10% of the label. The test also found 8.6% minor cannabinoids, which is a little below the 10% minimum I prefer to see from full-spectrum products, but is an okay result.

Overall, my only major criticism is that there’s no third-party testing for pesticides and other contaminants, which provide an added layer of safety.

Shipping & Returns

Allitom CBD ships to the United States with UPS and USPS and offers free shipping for orders over $39.99. You can also find its products in many health & wellness shops throughout the country.

You can return new, unopened items for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. If you’re returning the product because it’s incorrect or defective, Allitom will also pay the cost of return shipping.

Customer Service & Reputation

Allitom doesn’t have that many customer reviews posted on its website, probably because most people buy their products in stores. Still, most of the reviews are positive.

The company also holds an average 5/5 star rating on Google reviews. All in all, Allitom seems to have a solid reputation, even if it’s known that well known outside of Chicago.

I’d like to see the company provide more details about its founders and story; right now, there’s only a generic “about us” statement.

My Verdict: A Solid CBD Company

Although not quite a leading CBD brand, Allitom is a great example of a smaller, successful company.

You can find almost any CBD product you want at a reasonable price with multiple potencies and formula options, including both full-spectrum and THC-free versions.

Still, the company can improve in several ways. For one, it needs to provide third-party contaminant testing and more details about how its hemp is grown. It would also be great to have a transparent statement about the company’s mission and founders; right now, it feels like a generic CBD brand.
